Curriculum Designer
Design engaging STEM lessons that make coding click for primary students. Join Code Camp and shape fun and creative learning experiences that inspire kids to build and explore.
Code Camp is Australia's number one kids' STEM provider. Since 2013, we've helped more than 250,000 children get creative with technology - through holiday camps, before and after-school courses, incursions, and online programs. We're on a mission to inspire a generation of kids to become creators, innovators and change-makers. As part of Cluey Learning, a leading Australian EdTech company, we're bringing hands-on STEM learning to even more kids across the country.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Curriculum Designer to join on a part-time contract basis who understands primary education, instructional design, and can turn big ideas into lessons kids (and facilitators) actually love.
As part of the Code Camp team, you’ll work to:
Work with subject matter experts to develop and update high‑quality STEM content for primary school students, including lesson plans, activities, assessments, and teacher guidance.
Align all content with the Australian Curriculum (Digital Technologies), internal pedagogical frameworks and Cluey’s internal learning platform.
Create clear, engaging explanations of coding concepts suitable for early learners (e.g. sequencing, branching, loops, algorithms).
Produce differentiated learning options to support diverse student experience, needs and abilities.
Write teacher notes with learning objectives, success criteria, and classroom management tips.
Collaborate with team lead and discipline experts to refine and iterate content.
Ensure all materials are accurate, inclusive, and accessible.
Meet project deadlines and deliver content in agreed formats and templates.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing EdTech company focused on personalised, fun, and confidence-building learning experiences.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who can adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. Your strengths will include:
Experience writing curriculum, lesson plans, or educational resources for primary school students.
Ability to break down technical concepts into simple, engaging explanations for young learners.
Background in teaching, learning design, educational publishing, or EdTech.
Excellent written communication skills with attention to clarity, structure, and pedagogy.
Ability to design differentiated activities and assessment strategies.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently to deadlines.
Nice to Have
If you’ve got experience in any of the following, you’ll stand out, but don’t worry if you don’t:
Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum, particularly Digital Technologies (F–6).
Experience with inquiry‑based learning, STEM/STEAM programs, or project‑based learning.

About Cluey Learning
We make learning support accessible and convenient so that tutoring can be booked at a time that suits each child’s schedule. Learning sessions take place live and online via our learning platform, which means students can log in from the comfort of home and work with their expert tutor without interrupting the family schedule.
All of our content is mapped to the Australian National Curriculum and is based on the unique learning needs of each individual. In this way, Cluey programs cover the topics each student is learning in class and specifically addresses each child’s challenges. All sessions are recorded and can be re-watched for future reference, and parents can see what their child has learned.
Thanks to the online nature of our approach, we’re able to source, train and quality check the best tutors from around Australia and make them available to any student, regardless of whether they live on a farm, in a big city, or in a small town between Milly Milly and Murgoo.
- Over 1,000,000 learning sessions
- More than 33,000 students
- More than 2,500 expert tutors
